Snake birth years: 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013, 2025. Your year branch is 巳.
巳 has no pair relationship with 未 — no six harmony, clash, trine, harm, break or punishment. On the standard twelve-sign reading the Snake is neutral to 2027. There is one exception, and it is the kind of thing a general forecast never reaches. The year opens at Lichun on 4 February 2027.
Alongside the four trines (三合) there is a second set of three-branch combinations: the directional trios (三会), which group branches by season rather than by element cycle. They are 寅卯辰 for spring Wood, 巳午未 for summer Fire, 申酉戌 for autumn Metal and 亥子丑 for winter Water.
巳 and 未 are the two ends of the summer trio. They do not combine on their own — a directional trio needs its middle branch, and here that is 午. But a Snake whose natal chart carries 午 Horse in the month, day or hour pillar completes 巳午未 in 2027 and forms a full summer Fire combination.
That is the single most consequential thing a Snake can check about 2027, and no sign-level forecast can tell you, because it depends on a pillar other than the year. A complete 三会 is a powerful configuration — it concentrates one element across a whole season of the chart.
巳 is Fire, holding 丙 (Yang Fire), 戊 (Yang Earth) and 庚 (Yang Metal). 2026 was 丙午 and 2027 is 丁未 — two consecutive Fire years, which is unusual. For a Fire sign that means a sustained stretch of same-element reinforcement.
Whether that is strength or excess is the whole question. 丁 Fire in the year stem supports 巳; 未 Earth in the year branch is produced by Fire, which drains it. So the year stem adds and the year branch absorbs. The chart shows a Snake in a year that both feeds and consumes the same element — and the 庚 Metal hidden in 巳 is the part that gets squeezed, since Fire melts Metal.
None involve 未. Monkey is your 六合 six harmony (巳申) — and also a 六破 six break, one of the few pairings that is both. Rooster and Ox complete your 巳酉丑 Metal trine, and the Ox is the sign carrying the 2027 clash, so one of your trine partners is under load. Pig is your 巳亥 clash. Tiger is a 六害 harm, and 寅巳申 together form a three punishment.
A Life Blueprint reading shows whether 午 appears in your chart, which is what decides your 2027. The full twelve-sign breakdown is here.
