Year of the Goat 2027 for the Monkey: The Year Feeds You and the Stem Fights You

Monkey birth years: 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016. Your year branch is 申.

申 has no branch relationship with 未 — no six harmony, clash, trine, harm, break or punishment. The Monkey is one of the five signs structurally neutral to the 2027 year branch. The year opens at Lichun on 4 February 2027.

The year is split against itself for you

With no branch relationship, 2027 reaches the Monkey through the elements — and the two characters of the year pillar point in opposite directions.

未 Earth generates Metal (土生金). The year branch is a resource for you. 申 holds 庚 (Yang Metal), 壬 (Yang Water) and 戊 (Yang Earth), and an Earth-heavy year with a Fire stem producing still more Earth means a sustained supply running toward your element.

丁 Fire controls Metal (火克金). The year stem works against you. 丁 is Yin Fire, which is not the fierce 丙 of 2026, but it sits above the branch all year.

So the chart shows a year that feeds the Monkey from below and presses it from above. That is a genuinely balanced configuration rather than a good or bad one, and which side dominates is set by your own element balance — a Monkey whose Metal is weak takes the resource, a Monkey whose Metal is already strong feels the Fire.

Coming off two Fire years

2026 丙午 and 2027 丁未 are two consecutive Fire years, and Fire is the element that controls Metal. For a Metal sign that is a long stretch of pressure — but the second year is materially gentler than the first. 丙午 was Yang Fire sitting on Fire, with no Earth to absorb it. 丁未 is Yin Fire sitting on Earth, and that Earth both softens the Fire and supplies Metal. The chart shows 2027 as the easier half of the pair for a Monkey.

The Monkey's own standing relationships

None of these involve 未, so none are 2027 effects. Snake is your 六合 six harmony (巳申) — and also a 六破 six break, one of the few pairings that is both. Rat and Dragon complete your 申子辰 Water trine; both are neutral to 未 as well, so your whole trine group sits outside the 2027 configuration — which, for a Rat, is exactly why the chart points to Monkey and Dragon as its stable ground this year. Tiger is your 寅申 clash. Pig is a 六害 harm, and 寅巳申 together form a three punishment.

A Life Blueprint reading weighs the Metal in your chart, which decides which half of the year pillar you actually feel. The full twelve-sign breakdown is here.
